Laffy Taffy is a classic childhood candy, and the dad jokes on the wrappers are always a fun surprise. This 1-pound bag weighed just over 1 pound, which was appreciated. The bag contains banana, cherry, and green apple flavors, and I found the mix to have roughly the same amount of each flavor in my bag.
Samesame –
This is exactly what is described – a 2 pound bag of Laffy Taffy, packaged in a different brand outer bag. If you’ve had Laffy Taffy you know what it is like – a sticky, hard taffy with various candy flavors. The “Donty Tonty” packaging is confusing to me, but as far as I can tell it is just packaging. I checked the manufacturer/product date stamped on the individually wrapped Laffy Taffy and found these were produced recently (less than 2 months ago), and the outer packaging expiration date is about a year out. I haven’t eaten the full bag, but do not have any complaints so far. If you like Laffy Taffy, you should enjoy it.

This is a 2lb bag of Laffy Taffy. One of the best parts about them is the jokes., the taffy is good too. It is nice and fresh with a fairly even mix of three flavors in the bag. The banana is my favorite followed up by the Cherry.
The bag was easy to open, I just wish it had a zip at the top of the bag to keep them contained after opening.

I love Laffy Taffy. As a child, I aspired to work for Laffy Taffy as a joke writer. That said, I hate the banana flavor.
Now on to the parts you need to know…
These arrived as fresh as you can get a Laffy Taffy, they are very soft. They have an expiration date of 11/01/24.
907.184g =2 lbs but as you can see from the pictures the total came to 940.83. Can’t really complain about that.
The distribution of flavors came out as follows:
1. Banana Laffy Taffy: (371.89 / 940.83) * 100 ≈ 39.49%
2. Apple Laffy Taffy: (311.16 / 940.83) * 100 ≈ 33.09%
3. Cherry Laffy Taffy: (257.78 / 940.83) * 100 ≈ 27.42%
I didn’t really trust my scale, so I counted them for you for human accuracy.
There were 99 Laffy Taffy’s in total and their quantities were as follows:
39 Banana
33 Apple
27 Cherry
Banana Laffy Taffy: (39 / 99) * 100 = 39.39%
Apple Laffy Taffy: (33 / 99) * 100 = 33.33%

First impressions: Nice bag of chewy candy, individually wrapped. There is a good variety of flavors.
Installation/setup: Open bag, unwrap candy and eat.
Final thoughts: These are the same candies we have eaten for years. They are chewy and soft, very sweet and the flavors are strong. I like these and I’m glad I got them,
Gravy Boat –
Laffy Taffy. I haven’t had them in decades. And now, after sampling them, I feel kind of foolish for pushing them aside all those years as I was raiding the chocolate from my kid’s trick or treat bags. These taffys were fresh with some initial chew that quickly softened in the warmth of my mouth. My bridge work was completely safe!
The flavors (banana, cherry, sour apple) are predictably artificial but not cloyingly so. They are bright and tangy tasting and leave a nice flavor in your mouth. The jokes on the wrappers are groaners in the best way possible – like dad jokes on steriods. Revisiting these iconic candies was long overdue. There’s a reason they’ve been around for over 40 years!

I thoroughly enjoy this Laffy Taffy candy! The product was super fresh and delicious. I found it odd that there were not equal amounts of each flavor in the bag, but it worked out in my favor. There were only 10 banana, my least favorite. There were 27 cherry, my favorite. There were also 15 sour apple, which was really good, too! Overall, this bag of candy was a great product and very enjoyable. This would be great for Halloween or for teachers to buy for a treat for their students. Highly recommend!

This 2lb bulk bag of assorted flavors of Laffy Taffy’s brought us right back to our childhood! They taste exactly like we remember!
They were fresh and soft (enough haha). We really enjoyed them and even put some in our little ones piñata for the little ones and they all loved them as well!
This would make the perfect candy for Halloween, piñatas or goodie bags!!
I’m just unsure of the price (14.99 at time of review) – it seems a little high to me! I haven’t purchased laffy taffy’s in a while, but I didn’t think they would be that expensive, but everything has gone up in price these days!
