Donty-Tonty Retro Taffy Bulk Bag Bit-O-Honey Nostalgic Candy is a 2lb bag holding delicious honey taffy candy. The bag that I received held 130 individually wrapped pieces of candy just as advertised by the manufacturer. The peanut butter colored candy is firm when unwrapped but once it was placed on my tongue it immediately started to soften and become pliable and foldable. The honey flavor was prominent and delicious! As I began to chew the candy, it felt like a piece of taffy with its chewy texture and the finely diced pieces of almond began to appear. The candy has a sweet flavor and is not too sweet. I really love these candies. The manufacturer notes that each 1oz serving has 170 Calories, 11g Total Fat, 15g Total Carbohydrate, and 3g Protein. The ingredients include corn syrup, sugar, nonfat milk, hydrogenated coconut oil, almonds, and less than 2% of honey, salt, egg whites, canola and/or safflower and/or palm oil, modified soy protein, natural flavor, TBHQ and citric acid (to preserve freshness). The candies that I received have an expiration date of 16 months from the date that I received them. Interestingly, there is no information stating where the candies are made. The only negative that I have is that the bag that I received is not resealable. Not the end of the world, but having the resealing option makes it easier to store without risk of spills. Hopefully the manufacturer can update this detail in future efforts. I definitely will be adding another bag

These are great tasting candy and a blast from the past, if you aren’t familiar to me it tastes like eating peanut butter and honey in the form of a candy, the biggest issue I would say is they’re a bit hard to chew. For those without teeth, or for those that might not be able to chew well such as younger audiences just be weary as they can be a potential choking hazard. Outside of that, great taste, big bag, and individually wrapped!
Do note that due to the nature of what they are, it’s best to keep this in a cool area such as a fridge or a moderately cooled off room as these tend to melt pretty easily otherwise and will stick to the wrapper.
Definitely would recommend these if the taste of peanut, almonds, and honey is to your liking, for me it is.

Oh my goodness, I haven’t had bit o honey in forever! It’s so freaking good – be prepared it will stick in your teeth a bit but it’s so good. Bring me back to when I was little and my mom would buy this for the house “sweet treat”.
